It has been so fun to watch this family grow! What genuine kind people and what cute kids they make too!
This year we went to the Riparian Preserve in Gilbert. I know some photographers shy away from shooting there because it can be over crowded but it’s a convenient location with a short drive for most in the areas that gives a tree vibe (vs the cactus vibe) and I love following the trails down and away from the main pond to explore some of the more wild areas and more natural ponds and streams.
I thought it was the perfect location for the Curtis Family this year. You just can’t beat the convenience of the location with small kids.
I have learned first hand that with small kids a close location is a game changer. (Less time in the car, less time trying to keep them clean… essentially just less time over all).
We have done our own family photos in some really beautiful locations, but last year we did them a 5 minute walk from our house and it was the most peaceful session we have had. I highly recommend factoring in a close to home location for those with multiple small kids if you’re not set on a specific location.
