Yay we are a family of four! I can’t believe it. It has been so much fun these past 4 months. Sagey fits right into our family so naturally and we all can’t get over her chubby knees (that may or may not have received their own mini photoshoot during family photos). My niece Cybil and Nephew Charlie came with us to “the mountain” and it was so cute to see how much they really appreciate the beautiful views.
Charlie asked me “Why are Sagey’s knees so big?”.
Well Charlie, I’ve been thinking about that and I think God just knew we would need the smiles. 🙂
Here are a few of our favorites! It’s gonna be so hard to choose what to put on our Christmas card this year!
Brighten would not let go of this blanket once we gave it to her to wear “just for in-between pictures”. Oh well, it’s not perfect but it’s us and I’m glad we have pictures. I’ve realized in the past few years that either it’s gonna be imperfect and happen or it’s just never gonna happen. I think being a photographer I have this thought that lingers that we can do it ANYTIME so why don’t we just try again- when we aren’t running late, when someone is happier, when we are less busy. I’m so glad I learned that quickly. I think it will get easier every year. We’ve got this.
I hope you get family pictures every year. I don’t want to scare people but I’ve seen 3 different families close to our age loose their father/husband this year and for me the first thing I think when I see the lovely tributes posted about them along with family photos is how happy I am that they had those pictures to share! It makes me ask myself- If this ever happened to us what memories would I have to show my kids of their father? What photos would I leave behind of myself if I were to die?
Family pictures are so so important! <3 I know some day whether sooner or later (preferably later) that $300 will become the best money I ever spent- even if right now it just feels like I’m paying to torture my kids and cause extra stress haha.
