What an absolute dream it was to photograph Kelsi out in the desert this weekend! I got to shoot in my favorite spots downtown on Friday night and then my favorite spots out at the Salt River (this session) on Saturday so I was in heaven all weekend.
I feel so fancy being able to even have favorite spots! I’m really doing this photography thing for real and I love it more every day!!
I have worked so hard and I am so proud of how far I’ve come in photography, but enough about me can we just take a moment of silence to admire how each of these images looks!
I love the soft pink material and the flow of the dress! You can’t beat that golden desert glow either!
I am so excited for this sweet friend of mine to have a little mini-me. She is going to be an angel and I can’t wait to see her older son Kol be a big brother. 🙂
And a few behind the Scenes because I feel like it helps people visualize what it will be like when it comes time for your session!!…
Basically Trent is the best. He is my human lens hood, since I hate lens hoods haha. And he’s a really good train-straightener too. People always comment “Wow, he’s like your personal assistant”, and I laugh but honestly it feels more like we are just an extension of each other, He reads my mind half the time and if I’m being completely honest I don’t owe Trent the role as ‘Photographer Assistant’ he is my Photographer Existence. The whole reason I even started photography. I had always had an interest in trying it out but I was worried to be ‘just like everyone and their mother who is a semi-professional photographer” I would tell Trent. He finally convinced me that being semi- professional is a choice and I could be as good as I wanted to be and I just needed to start! If I loved it keep going, if I didn’t stop. … Well in case you didn’t hear- I LOVE IT! So much I convinced Trent to join me! So at portrait sessions he is never above fluffing a train or getting kids attention but he is also a proficient photographer who shoots right along side me at events and weddings. (Also, he sits by me and tells me how to spell proficient when I don’t know and I’m using it in my blog so he gets credit for that too).
